With regards to the poll, yeah, I would of paid say another $100 for the Wii if it was a bit more powerful, but oh well, as long as the gameplay is good.

If they poured more research and money into graphics, the console would become as expensive as the other two, and therefor would find it alot harder to crack back into the market (i probably would have bought it, but alot of people wouldnt). once they are back on top (or atleast in the game, which they havent been lately), they'll start working on improvments all round. that will be a couple of years out yet though

EDIT: Red Steel graphics as good as XBox 360? put some glasses on. I love my wii, and i dont yet own a 360 as it doesnt yet interest me enough. but to say that red steels graphics are on par with the likes of gears of war is just plain stupid.

The Super Nintendo beat the Megadrive/Mega CD/32X. If I say Graphics is not important, I would be lying. Besides, Wii's graphics is looking great anyway!

One thing that makes the Wii great is the aspects of the system the developers concentrated on. If they'd spent all of their time making their system output in full 1080p HD, the world would have one more over-sized, high-resolution explosive disguised as a gaming platform. Instead, Nintendo focused their attention on the actual gameplay, which really shows in the Wii's interactive gaming features and user-friendly interface. Did I mention the Wii won't explode?

Therefore, I wouldn't argue if the Wii had better graphics, so long as it didn't impact on price, which it would have to. I'm quite happy to have the least graphically powerful console of this generation, beacuase it looks to be the most entertaining.

tru, although when watchin the movies in the games the characters faces seem fuzzy, sometimes i think that nintendo are rushing the wii, maybe if they spen a bit more time finetuning the graphics mayber the wii will defeinately be teh console choice for gamers

"Maybe just a bit better graphics" - Yea thats what i voted, In about 3 years the Wii's graphics will seem "dated" Hopefully Nintendo will be able to pull off another NintendoDS and get people to go for for gameplay rather then graphics. The Wii (in terms of graphics) is really a gamecube 1.5. Then again because the Wii's hardware is similar to that of gamecube developers may be able to juice the console for everything it has like the Neo Geo.
