Secret of Mana & Sonic 2 Virtually Gifted this Boxing Day

In the spirit of giving Nintendo will release this weeks Virtual Console update early. Australia and Europe will receive the Super Nintendo's Secret of Mana and the Master System's Sonic the hedgehog 2 this Boxing Day.

Square's three-player RPG Secret of Mana was released in the US back in October, but like anything good things come to those who wait. The title will set you back 800 Wii points, and will be a rather nice late Christmas present indeed. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will only cost you 500 Wii Points if you're looking for some slightly cheaper action after the expenses of the holiday season.

I'd snatch up Secret of Mana except for that I still own a physical copy of the original SNES cartridge. This is still great news for those that haven't had the joy of playing the game before.

EDIT:
I don't approve of that third screenshot that's listed. It might be from one of the other games in the series; I believe Seiken Densetsu 3.

We've got the original master system game and maybe others. I haven't actually played it but have a look around at some sites, every one is hyping Secret of Mana and some haven't even mentioned Sonic and the ones that did just tacked it on at the end, so clearly it's not so great.

Grab the PC version of FFVII. It works beautifully. Tales of Symphonia is longer than any FF game, so see if you can find a copy of the best RPG ever.

As for Secret of Mana. I've never played it. Should i finish it?
