News \ The Beatles Guitar Hero?

The copyright holder of The Beatles songs, top music executive Martin Bandier, has said to the LA Time that he’d be interested in a Guitar Hero game dedicated to The Beatles.

"It's something we have talked about and something I'd like to pursue," said Bandier to the Los Angeles Times.

Normally, The Beatles song rights have been extremely hard to obtain, be it to cover or use in movies/advertisements, however recent use of the songs would show that the stranglehold has been loosened.

We can only hope.

I'd agree. I mean you'd have songs with difficulty equivalent to that of "Paint it Black" and that teir in GH3 but you wouldn't get any crazy 5 handed songs like Jordan or Through the Fire and Flames.

I'd agree with that too. Rockband isn't as hard as GH (apart from the drums of course) but a lot Beatles songs have distinctive Bass, Lead, Drum and Vocal parts (Come Together, Get Back and I want to hold your hand are great examples of a good songs to include in Rockband) You'd be hard pressed to find a massive George Harrison solo that would be good for GH (I can't think of any from the top of my head but some of you beatle nuts could).
