News \ GH3 Double Pack Out Now!

This week Activation have started shipping the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Wii Double Pack to retailers across the country

While you won't find any new goodies, for example a pair of Lars Ulrich's underwear, what you will find in the GH3 Wii Double Pack is the same rock star video gaming experience but now bundled with two Les Paul guitars!

“Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock remains an overwhelming success for Activision Australia, and as such many potential guitar heroes have been disappointed by the lack of available units,” said Peter Skjellerup, Product Manager, Red Octane/Activision Australia. “The introduction of the Wii Double Pack bundle aims to make amends for the shortfall of stock by giving Wii gamers access to multiplayer fun without buying two copies of the game!”

So that's cool if you're into rocking out with your friends but don't worry, for all of you who like to brood in a dark room at night, pouring your rockstar soul into the those multicolored buttons, the original pack is still out there!

I just bought the two guitar pack from target for 169. As I was wanting a 2nd guitar. I rang jb last week and one store said that they will be getting a new shipment of the guitar only pack at the end of the month for around 70 bucks.
I rang another jb store and they said it is discontinued. So anyway will sell gh3 on ebay for over a $100 and keep the 2 guitar and game.

I got it only tonight in the two-pack - at EB Forest Hill, Vic - for $199. Price seems reasonable to me, games are usually $100 plus the one-pack adds $50 for a controller... no savings, but still an extra controller... it's good to me!

Also, apparently, this is the new disc version with working sound! Can anyone confirm?
