They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

Update: NES and Super Nintendo (SNES) Controllers will be compatible on the nintendo wii by the use of a controller adapter that connects through the USB Port. Cost - $19US each, there is one for SNES and NES each sold separately

Thanks cfc_4_ever

You can get a GC controller on ebay for $14.95 and that comes with a 4mb memory card. Or another deal of 2 controllers for $25, even cheaper if you win the auction for less than that. Add around $10-$12 shipping and you have yourself a bargain.

MelStorm,

you need to take a chill pill.
firstly you selling your cube and stuff was idiotic? I didn't sell mine. i didn't sell it because i don't see the point in selling off something that would only net me about 50 bucks.

I had always intended on keeping my cube controllers for cube games anyway, so to go and get rid of yours in favour of using the the classic controller i think was a little silly. sure the CC has the buttons to be used for Cube games but I really wouldn't want to use anything but the GC controller anyway.

you are taking the whole thing WAY to seriously though, cancel your preorder over this? you sir are an idiot.

there is no malice in it. They are just assuming that if ya hav, a GC game, ya have the controller. They cud hav made it a lot worst, with GC controllers, not being used in ANY virtiual console games. Nintendo are in it for the money (like every other company) and they need to make money, so, if they can find another way to make money then good luck 2 them. The Classic Controller, not being used in the GC, games could be something simple, mayb they want to keep that simple and not muck around with the already written GC controls.

MelStorm said: Nintendo are no better then theives or drug dealers in that they imply dishonest tactics to take your money however they can do this legally.... hoever morally ill be putting the breaks on Fk you nintendo youve seen the last of my money

Ok Melstorm while it sucks that Nintendo have done things this way, ya gotta chill for a bit. I'm not telling you to suck it up, how you spend your money at the end of the day is up to you. But I think its going a bit far to compare the big N with drug dealers.

Nintendo aren't holding a gun to a gamer's head and telling them to buy a Gamecube controller or a classic controller, they are not forcing anyone to play Gamecube or Virtual Console games. They are only providing the hardware and the controls to play Wii games, everything else is optional and left to the gamer to decide whether they want to shell out anymore for an extended experience.

Money is one thing and ill pay for something (no free rides) but this is a dirty stinking cash grab and seriously something that makes me want to can my pre order and tell em to jam it

I say this because i dont have a cube controller after i was mislead into selling it... theyve stuffed me around for the last time

Notice how no two controllers safely plays all games without fuss.....if you want full access to the games your buying you NEED three controlers this is very unatractive news nintendo

Notice how they say the gamecube controler is still available in shops... its a scam... NINTENDO you have just lost a long time loyal customer im cancelling my preorders and gettin a 360 or something else.... i was into this console and theyve driven me up the wall .......three controllers is too much GREEDY PIGS!

I wanted a classic controler but there doesnt seem much point if i have to go and get a third controler to play cube games....this sux concidering that the classic has the capacity (in terms of buttons and control sticks) to play them. This is a dodgy scam that nintendo has hatched to sell old game cube accessories this sux and makes me hate nintendo ... this is utterly disgusting at very best.......but i bet people will tell me to "suck it up" CRAPPPPP
