I spoke with Target to find out more about the $600 worth of vouchers, and they said that they don't know and most likely wont know until launch.
Big W is offering "guaranteed lowest price" (which at this point is $398 -- yaay, one whole dollar cheaper than RRP), and a "BONUS ITEM (to be determined)". My wife works at Big W, so I got her to twist some arms and try and find out what the bonus is, but the response was the same as Target's: the stores don't get told until right near launch. The rumour is a free remote, so that would be nice. I'd rather have a free remote then Open Season.
Our EB is offering a price match on any other deal, OR their own deal which is (apart from their useless trade-in deals) a Wii VIP membership (which if you remember their Xbox360 VIP club, should be pretty good), and a WiiPlay+Remote bundle for $29.95 (RRP $79.95 -- this could be part of the VIP deal), so that could be a good deal.
I went to Harvey Norman to ask about their pre-order deal and he said bluntly "We don't do Nintendo stuff here". They've got a PS3 kiosk set up playing old footage from E3, yet the Wii is the biggest thing going this Christmas and they don't "do Nintendo"? Did they have a fight or something (or just get burned from the NGC)?
And of course, K-mart have the crappy bonus carry bag (Dammit, you want to play my Wii? YOU come to MY place!)
