Wii Software \ Guitar Hero 3 Problems.

Bit of wierdness happening with my Guitar Hero 3. For starters, my wiimotes are full charged so lets dismiss that theory. It seems to be missing notes. What i mean is, normally when i miss a note it squeaks out the wiimote and lets me know. Here i am mucking around on easy showing people how to play (i've finished it on medium, i dont miss easy notes) and it keeps missing notes, the multiplier on the left keeps resetting occasionally, even without a squeak from the wiimote (cause i aint issing the notes). It's really starting to irritate me. Is it a problem with the guitar or something?

Hmmm, have you tried restarting it, cleaning the disc, and make sure the plug is in properly. That's all I can say now.

I've got it on the charge now just to be sure. I'll plug it all back in soon (making sure the connections are in nice and solid) and test it again.

The game doesn't play the 'sour note' sound every time you miss a note. so you can miss notes without hearing anything and mess up your combo streak

It's squeaked at me for every one missed. The thing is i'm not missing the notes, there almost seems to be a delay of sorts. It's quite strange.

Arolli's right it only plays the note from the wiimote when u strum the wrong note, when u miss it completely without struming thers a more subtle noise from the speakers, otherwise who knows

Yeah i am definatly strumming firmly enough and pressing the correct buttons but sometimes it just doesnt work. Even the 6 people at my place who play it regularly think there is something odd.

LOL. Unlikeyly. I've finished the whole Medium regular playlist with 5 stars, i went back to Easy to demo it to friends and it started messing up. There is no way i suck in Easy.

I just finished hard and I'm not ashamed to say I suck at easy.
going backwards is hard because you are used to playing all these extra notes and now you only have to play a small fraction of them.

I really doubt its the guitar, it would either work all of the time or not, it doesn't know that you are on easy difficulty so it couldn't just be playing up on that difficulty.

face it, you have 2 options, your disk is damaged somehow (scratched/dirty/not recorded to properly) over the part that reads the easy section of the game somewhere, or you are missing notes like everybody else does. and I do mean EVERYBODY else does, you can not 100% every song every single time you play it, even proffessional musicians stuff up sometimes in songs they have played every night for years, it just happens

Everyone i live with, including 2 guests who play regularly, all think there is something odd about it. Its like you play the note and nothing happens 10% of the time. There is no squeak from the wiimote or anything. It's almost like there is some wierd lag or something. I dunno. I will try it again later on.

I don't like going back to easy cause i find its too slow, that is once i get used to the game anyway. On GH2 i would play on medium on quickplay, only went on easy to try and 100% monkeywrench :|

Hi Foetid, I have a few suggestions that I tried when I had a similar problem to yours.

Have you gone into the settings and "recalibrated" your guitar? It helps synch the TV to the game so there isn't any lag.

Is the neck of the guitar firmly pressed into the body of the guitar? They can work a little bit loose sometimes and then makes the connection a bit dodgy causing an intermittant signal dropout (or whatever you want to call it).

Have you cleaned the sensor bar etc?? Can't hurt if it's dusty

I hope these suggestions help, if not then I'm stumped!

Bought Wii GH3 yesterday (finally)... Still mono sound on gameplay (and the music was sampled very poorly).... Good game totally let down by the poor music.

Anybody who bought the Wii version recently that has stereo tracks? When are replacement discs due???

they not out yet, i registered the replacement disc about a month ago and still no reply or receive anything yet... the music quality is not bad, just the mono tone affect by it...

now back to the topic:
this sound like a really old problem
there shouldn't be a lagging problem since it works perfectly on medium..
maybe it's time to complain!! if you sure it's not your problem then ask activision and see what they can do about it

Hey Foetoid.
I agree completely with Stormstruk, callibrating the lag usually helps alot (specially if you are playing on a different tv).
Also, I've found that randomly the wiimote/strummer can be unresponsive, but this is more a problem detected at the main menu. Resetting the software usually solves that problem.
If it's just a problem with a certain difficulty and songs, that's pretty wierd, maybe you're playing too much I remember my copy of GH2 would skip and do weird stuff through Free Bird, due to the constant playing of the individual song. Pity... such an epic song...
