Survive the most devastating catastrophes that nature has to offer in Disaster: Day of Crisis.

This panic-inducing survival game for Wii throws players into the middle of a wave of natural disasters that pummel the United States.

Players will race a car down a mountain to escape roaring pyroclastic flow, dodge toppling buildings during a devastating earthquake and swim for their lives in a raging flood.

The aim of the game, no matter what happens, is to fight to survive.

Lucky. I sat through it all. It was just all these events happening that if they occured in real life, they would have died. And I mean, they were in it all and he couldn't just say, 'hey, once mother nature has stopping trying to do us in wanna go for a coffee? Or should I say snow cone?' But yes. Rather pointless.

Disaster: Day of Crisis is a game currently in development by Monolith Soft to be published by Nintendo for the Wii as part of their initiative to create new franchises for Nintendo.

It is a survival game, where the basic object is to live through various natural disasters, and escape alive. It is one of the more anticipated games for the Wii. The game is somewhat of a departure from Nintendo's traditional 'family friendly' values. It is also one of the few of the publisher's titles to feature blood, as shown in the Nintendo World trailer. According to Nintendo, the game will feature "Cutting-edge physics and gripping visuals" to re-create the sheer terror of major catastrophes. [1]

No idea it was meant for PS3.

At first I was really excited. I thought This was a game from American McGee, the designer behind Alice and Scrapland. American McGee started making a game called Bad Day L.A a year or more ago that I had been looking forward to and totally forgot about until now www.gamespot.com/ Anyway, I hope this game turns out to be really awesome, although I pride Nintendo on being innovative... this one seems like a rip-off.

If the game doesn't have anything I can attack other characters with then I'm not interested. Hopefully there's hysterical people in the game fighting for their own survival over yours, similar to the reality of emergency situations during disasters in populated area's. Mass hysteria is the key.

Think hurricane Katrina - the game. You play as one of the many classes of disaster stricken peoples.

anyway i'm thinking this game could be another let down i don't see how they could make a fun game out of the description. it would be run over here, jump up here, swim over there maybe one fun bit then repeat the cycle. i mean i'd love a surprise but i'm definately not holding my breath on this one.

I have this game and found it boring. You basically run around trying to save people but most of the time there is little action. If you want a great game, save your money and get Call of Duty: World at War.

This game is awesome, leave your brain at the door, fun. Pick up and play, addictive and very replayable (as you can upgrade weapons and abilities and replay any section arcade style).

Anyone who doesn't enjoy this game, is expecting something other than what it was intended as... pure pick-up-and-play-experimental-arcade-fun.
