Social \ New Duke Nukem Forever trailer looks amazing!

Yes there is a brand new trailer imbeded into the official Duke Nukem Forever page showing they've completely revamped the game engine and from the quick bits of gameplay footage seen it looks like Duke Nukem ForNever may become Duke Nuke ForSoon! I know i'll get it when it's released!

I just realised i put this in the Wii Games section. Oopsy!

They were talking about a Duke Nukem movie years ago but it flunked out (like the Halo movie). They were going to get Kurt Russel or The Rock to play Duke.

I think they just wanted to let the public know that Duke Nukem Forever is still going to happen and at least we know how good the graphics will be.

What i would love to see is a full blown trailer with gameplay footage in Q1 2008 and at the end of the trailer it should say "IT'S DONE!" with the definate release date.

To me Duke Nukem with objectives doesn't seem right. They need to take it back to the old school with just balls out shoot everything style fps. I want to be able to shoot steroids, blow up porn cinemas and pee in toilets.

And they can't skimp on the T and A either.

I really hope its a good game for the sake that Duke Nukem is such an awesome character.

Call me crazy, but I didn't see anything particularly praise-worthy in the graphics. It's on the level of shooters like STALKER from what I've seen (which is still awesome), but certainly not on the level of CoD4 for PC.

I'm with you man. After announcing DNF more than a decade ago (10 years for those of you who for some reason don't know what a decade is), all they've come up with is this trailer.

On that topic.. it's not even a gameplay trailer, it's a teaser made by a couple of 3D Realms employees over weeks of working back overtime to get it done to surprise the rest of the 3D Realms staff with it at the xmas party. I remember reading somewhere that what you see in the teaser is all there is. There is no levels, no models, no storyline.. nothing has been done on DNF except what a few guys thought would be a cool 'gift' at the xmas party. The rest of the staff just liked it so much they posted it for the world to see.

I'm certainly not getting my hopes up - we could be waiting another 10 years to see DNF actually get made, however if it's not out in the next 3-4 years I personally think 3D Realms will go under. The future of their company rests on the promise of DNF, or so I think anyway.
