It certainly doesn't make me want to buy one more. Do people think like that? "Oh, it's a more likable colour now, I'll buy one!" Well, apart from silly girls that want everything pink haha, there's a thought, a pink PS3!

I just meant that if you weren't already seriously considering it, then a new colour wouldn't sway you too much. But I can see it as being the icing on the cake for your decision to make the purchase.

So, will we see this down here do you think? In the near future? I wonder how many other colours they'll start bringing out. A purple one perhaps?!

Since I heard about the price drop it has gained my interest, even better they have removed some of the crap that we don't need.
I like the idea of getting 700 buck bluray player but I think I'll hold off for some package deal to appear that includes a game and HD cables(why did they release a HD system with out HD cables included).

I actually think this deal isnt that great , I have the 60 gig model bundle & it cost me $980 with 2 good games & extra controller, take off the price of those two games & the extra controller which I would of got anyway & you have a $699 60 gig PS3 that has the emotion chip that plays the few PS2 games I still have, the new 40 gig model has no backward compatibility for PS2 games, only has 2 usb ports & no card readers. So what your getting is 20 gig less HDD & a white casing, no card reader & 2 usb ports less than the 60 gig model for the same price.
