Wii Hardware \ Aftermarket gamecube controllers

Hi guys

i just recently purchased lylat wars for my wii and since i don't have a gamecube or classic controller i borrowed my cousins aftermarket gamecube controller and it doesn't work at all. I also tried my copy of metal slug anthology and it still didn't work there. So my question is do aftermarket gamecube controllers work for the wii? I'll proberly get my own aftermarket gc controller at eb games or maybe the classic controller.

Also do eb games happen to have any gc controller extension cords?

i also got an after market controller off ebay. it works fine, my only issue with is there is a 'macro' button on it, next to the start button. when it's pressed it locks all the buttons so they dont register when pressed. it gets annoying when you press it by mistake in the middle of a game and nothing works...

They work fine.One failed and I had it replaced.

I found that when playing games like Super Mario World
that the button config wasn't really suitable so I also
got a classic controller.

But they work fine for Mario 64, Zelda: OoT and of course
any GC game.

Extension cables. You could buy online for $5
