Wii Hardware \ Stop complaining about GRAPHICS!

This whole thing over graphics is really starting to piss me off. All you anti-nintendo (there's only about 2 of you but what ever) users are bagging on the Wii's graphical abilities like they are a load of **** when obviously they are not. Some of you *cough* Deezel *cough* are describing the Wiis graphics like they are the old 16-bit systems as apposed to the PS3 and it's blue-ray. Sure I mean I agree that the PS3 is obviously better graphically than the Wii but that's not to say that the Wii's graphics look like ****. I just want to know why everyone is so worked up over such a small small thing as slightly better graphics, I would think that we should be discussing the entertainment value of the Wii and what will be like to play it not just flam it and say "Eeerrr it doesn't look as good it must be ****".

Having said that, it would've been awesome to have slightly better graphics equating to possibly an extra $100 but for the fantasy style games like mario and zelda you don' need ultra realism so it may be wasted technology on the wii.

Thats part of the reason i stepped away from gaming..... i didn't want to fork out for another system knowing that the next gen consoles were on the horizon, and the majority of games on the PS2 weren't exactly stimulating.

Very well said. I think the nay-sayers are genuinely jealous that their console manufacturers put new graphics cards and processors in the consoles and called them next-gen. That's not next gen, that's an UPGRADE.

playing a good first person shooter is so rare these days taht its almost not even trying ANY of them out. I mean a solid single player AND multiplayer. Halo series...half decent single player...good multiplayer. The last really solid FPS game ive seen is goldeneye for n64. great single player and revolutionary multiplayer. That is what a FPS game should all be about. Unlike, for instance, the new Red Steel game, hearing the developers say it can be beaten in like 12-15 hours!! serioussly thats like one saturday and BAM 50 dollars. Iono about u guyz, but graphics and FPS games are kinda like about as useless as watching paint dry

I agree! My wife usually complains that i spend too much time playing games, but she is actually interested in playing the wii. She was far to unco to play with a controller but thinks she can manage a wiimote.

Though I see things in context though, that the wii is a cheaper piece of hardware and designed to run certain games, so it doesnt NEED superior graphics power like the ps3 or 360.

Its understandable for a FPS player like my self to look down on the wii because I simply do not like nintendo games, but to blatantly complain about the wii's graphics without putting into context is quite stupid

I dont have a problem with the Wii's graphics In my opinion I think they look excellent The controler makes up for them anyway. I still have great fun playing old sega and Nintendo games and people seem to like the DS over PSP - which is the more powerful handheld. Although i still believe that in a few years the Wii's graphics will be outdated but the system will have gained popularity with its unique control.

Now whether that is the awesome gameplay of SNES mario bros, or hard core HD next gen Gears of war graphics, your still playing a video game and having fun.

So its a total matter of opinion whether you like the wii and dont mind its graphics power or you like graphical power of the ps3/360.

Might consider getting one if they do something drastic with the price, but not for some time as it is all Wii for the next long while.

If I was to invent a system...lets say BunglePro 2007 and EVERYONE hated it except you iddqd and it had 4 release titles that you and only you liked and say it cost $600 for the lot would you still consider buying it because YOU think its a good idea but because it was so UNPOPULAR not one more game would ever be released on it? Kind of an extreme example but it proves my point that what the population thinks about a system VASTLY influences the lifetime of any system heck any and EVERYTHING in life.

Sure, right, whatever... but think about it, Microsoft have more money than Sony and Nintendo combined. The Xbox wasn't nearly as popular as the PS2, but they still supported it and released some of the best games of all time on it. Microsoft isn't going to abandon their console, even if barely anyone buys it, how bad would that look for them?
