Haven't played Smash yet, but glad to hear it looks good. I s there water in it? I think ninty games shine with their water, like Mario Sunshine on GC. Excite Trucks on Wii... even Batallion wars (although 2nd party) and Rogue Squadron (2nd Party also). The water is great in Zelda Wii, but the textures are blander than what can be done. I thought zeld looked too GC, with too much aliasing.... I was impressed with design, but not graphics for twighlight.
Only one of u for Excite? Anyone else?
have 2 add that Smash has the advantage (like Galaxy) of smaller areas to render with detailed textures. Excite goes so fast that it blurs any unsightly textures, but Retro said they only used 70-80% of wii abilities (due to starting as a GC game) so i can't wait for the next Retro and 1st Factor 5 results. I think 'Disaster' will push it too, seeing that ninty bought that company recently... their 'hardcore' investment of this gen. That's what i like about wii and ds... it takes creativity to shine, whereas it's too easy on the ps3 and xbox360. I was considering picking up a ps3, but there is no 'fun' games, it seems all hardcorey graphicsy, i want a mix of both. I hope we get something 3rd party on the wii this year thats a little more hardcore (graphically and content-wise) because I really don't want to stray from the ninty-only strtegy I've focused on for all these years.
