Heads were scratched when it was announced yesterday that Dead Space Extraction would make use of Wii MotionPlus. EA have now confirmed through IGN that it was a misunderstanding and that the title will not make use of the peripheral .
At the 2009 Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference yesterday, EA COO John Pleasants stated that EA Tennis and Tiger Woods 2010 would make use of MotionPlus. He went on to mention Dead Space Extraction when discussing games that would be "taking advantage of the MotionPlus controller."
EA have confirmed that Pleasants did not intend to imply that Dead Space would use MotionPlus, and it was all a misinterpretation. Considering it's essentially a Light Gun game it really didn't make sense in the first place because quite frankly a game like Extraction really doesn't need it.
