Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law - 9/10
Story:
Well it has 5 separate stories which are all different cases in which you are Harvey Birdman and you must prove that your client is innocent, whether he is or not doesn't actually matter. The Story is quite good with lots of humor and quirks, I myself was laughing at some of the things Birdman or others had said. Your clients are always characters from the Hannah Barbera
cartoons and stays the same as the show.
Gameplay:
The Gameplay is quite fun and is extremely similar to that of the Phoenix Wright games, which Capcom also created. The basically just find evidence, choose what you want to say, present stuff in court, cross examine testimonies and some other extra things depending what your case is. The characters each have their own unique personality especially the characters from the Hannah Barbera shows who are your clients but their personality is twisted to bring the humor out, eg. Yakky Doodle wants to change his name to Nail Gun to sound like a gangsta.
Graphics:
If you have seen the show then that is exactly what the graphics look like but more picture clear during cut scenes, there are several points in the game when you see scenes out of the show and you can see the picture quality increase which is good. I felt that the graphics being the way they are helped the game.
Sound:
Sound here is really good with voice overs from the cast of the show which helps the game otherwise it wouldn't work, also the sound you hear when looking at evidence is quite funny. The music is also from the show and is a little repetitive.
Replay Value:
Not much replay value I must say unless you just want to redo the cases just for a laugh or want to go back and get the unlockables which you might have missed as they are all worth unlocking.
Conclusion:
In Conclusion Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is a great fun game, although you will only get a few hours of play it is worth. Highly unlikely the game will be released in Australia so your best off importing it which is worth it as it costs around $25. The game is really fun and funny.
