Fun..but flawed - 7/10

This is definitely a game that will inspire intense competition within the family. You will find family members training in secret as they try to topple the current household record for a particular event.

There is this nagging feeling that if any of them get their name into the Top30 for any event you will never hear the end of it.

But there are events that none of them will bother playing as they are flawed either by:

a) The Wii controls being too cumbersome
b) Frantic key pressing by an amateur will overcome the most skillfull player

The "not so good" events are not really an issue if you concentrate on the single challenge mode of the game. If you want to complete the circuits you must play them, and that is where the fun stops and the aggravation starts.

Some of the events are excellent in terms of entertainment and skill required. Archery is an example of combining genuine skill and innovative Wii control.

The biggest gripe I have with the game is the inability to completely bypass the award ceremony at the end of an event.

Please, I do not care who won if it wasn't me. Next time, put in an option to not show the ceremony.

Another major gripe is that you wish to beat your family members, not the "world record" for your player. So the records displayed should show the best one for all users so you know the real target, not just your own best.
