Summary:
Mario Party Seven as you recall took place on a Cruise Ship with toadstool as the host, this Mario Party now on the Wii with more surprises! Mario Party 8 now takes place at the Star Carvival, with the Host MC Ballyhoo and his partner Top Hat. Everyone returns from MP7, but there are two new Party Members, Blooper and Hammer Bro.
Gameplay: 7/10
Mario Party 8 has the same concept as any other Mario Party Game. Roll Dice, Get on spot, find star, unlock minigames, get new characters, avoid bowser,etc. In story Mode there is a competition, the prize is a year-supply of Candy, (but of Course you don't "get" the candy you get a new character.) there are five modes in Mario Party 8

Graphics: 8/10
For being a Wii Game it has killer graphics, but if this game was a PS3 game of something, of course it would have a low graphics score, but in this case it's a Wii game and for being a Wii game it has great graphics. one of the Cons I have about the Graphics is there is no Widescreen. If you switch Widescreen on in the Wii menu, you'll end up with crummy bars on the sides during gameplay.
Sound: 9/10
Mario Party 8 has a wonderful Soundtrack, and it compliments all the Game Boards and the main song for the menu is wonderful! It isn't perfect, but it's really great! There is only one Phrase that is actually spoken though...
Entertainment: 9/10
It's fun your whole family can enjoy, there's a bunch of cool mini games and smiles are guaranteed!
Replay Value: 10/10
Unlike most games you can play this game over and over again without knowing the outcome!
Overall
A great game, perfect for the family. It has great gameplay although it is very similar to the previous mario parties. I recommened this game for Mario fans, Nintendo Fans, and those that like simple games!
