Animal Crossing:Let's go to the City - 8/10

Introduction:Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City was the first Animal Crossing game i have ever played. So i didn't know what i could expect from this game. So when i walked down to the shops to pick up Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City for $80 and then went back home and played it for just 10 minutes and i said to myself....AWESOME. This game is like real life you pay your mortgages, buying items and loads moe. Now people who have played the Gamecube or DS version of Animal Crossing may disagree with me on my opinion but that is alright. But the Wii bersion has more features than the previous 2 versions of Animal Crossing.Now off to Gameplay.


Gameplay:Animal Crossing Let's go to the City is just like real life.It is based on real time(the time can be adjusted at the menu),you go shopping,catch bugs,fish or even collect fossils,gyroids and tons more.You will start off in the game when you will be asked if your a boy or a girl,what you will name your town and what's your name. Then you will meet an animal called Nook, he runs a shop that sells,furniture,wallpaper,mats,flowers,saplings,paper and equipment. He will give you some certain jobs including you introducing yourself to all your neighbours and yes they are animals not humans. Your neighbours won't always be in your town they can move to different towns and you can get new ones. After you finish your part time job with Nook you will be given a house and yes you must pay it off using 'bells'(bells is the currency for money in Animak Crossing)once you pay your house off you can secide to make it bigger by talking to Nook once you payed it off. But you will have to pay more each time you upgrade,you can upgrade your house 3 times from your first house. To get bells you would need to sell your stuff,do chores or hope someone generous like Mper or Matteh give you heaps of bells for free. You can sell fish,bugs,fossils,Gyroids,Fruit,Furniture,Clothes(Clothes can be bought from the Able Sisters,the shop is in your town) even Shells.
But if i were you, whatever fish,fossil or bug you have first caught make sure you take it to the museum(in the museum you can see all the fish,fossils,bugs you have donated you can also donate paintings(will talk about later). At Nook you can buy furniture,wallpaper,Mats,paper,plants and equipment(Shovel,Timer,Slingshot,Watering can and a Net) at different prices and don't worry you can always order these item's as many times as you like once you buy that item.(Gyroids,Fossils and some items are not orderable)

Not only you can stay in your town but you can go to the City. You can catch the bus at the bus stop to the City.You can do many things at the City.

1.Get a Hairstyle or makeover for 3000 bells

2.Fortune Teler:Find out your fortune or charm for only 100 bells.

3.HRA: Join this program to get tips for a good looking house.

4.Gracie Grace:She sells furniture but you will need heaps of bells if your even thinking of buying somthing from her.

5.Bid auction:Bid for items your friends put up.

6.You can learn new emotions from an actor

7.Get your shoes clean

8.Redd's shop:To shop from here you will need to get an invitation and 3000 bells so you can shop from him. He sells paintings for nearly 4000 bells but their is a chance the painting is a fake which means it cannot be donated to the museum which means you can sell it to Nook for only 10 bells.He sells 3 items a week including a painting.He sells items Nook has but at a higher price but he does have some exclusive items which are better known as 'Lucky items'.He will restock every week.


In the game the weather can be snowy,raining,sunny even thunder

Online: Online is the best, you can visit your friend's town(you must add that person and they must add you. You can do many things in your friends town. Go fishing,chat, trade or even hold little comp's like hide and seek. At times you can get disconnected which can be fustrating but rare. You can also send mail to each other but there is a chance the letter won't reach your destination. You can also do voicechat with your friend but you must be in your friend's town or when someone is in your town by using Nintendo's Wii speak, its optional to use.


Up to 3 people can visit your town


Replay Value:I just have too add this to the review,this game should keep you going FOR AT LEAST a year. Can you try and catch every bug,fish and collect every fossil and painting in the game?Or even try and get every furniture set? And their are special event's which happen at certain times of the year where you can collect special furniture(for example:Festivale happens ONCE a year and on that day you have a chance of collecting PAVE furniture)
Fish and bugs cannot be all caught at the same time but some can be caught all year.

ConclusionI pretty much recommend this game to everyone who has not played the previous versions of AC but you people who have played the previous version's of Animal Crossing can get this but it's nearly the same as the previous versions. Anyone at any age can play it, it's cheap for only $70 you can buy a game which will survive you for a year(in my opinion) I play Animal Crossing Let's go to the City for 1-2 hours whenever i get the chance to play it. You want replay value?Then this game is for you.
