It's been about 40-45 minutes and it's just past half way on the bar. I'm using 1.5mb/256kb wireless connection and I was wondering, how long did your first update take?

Should only takes about 5 minutes on a good connection.
Sometimes it starts slow for some reason, and keep on going slow..
if its half way, maybe just leave it...but you can unplug and start again, it wont harm the wii.

When you say unplug... do you mean, switch off the console and turn it on again.. or physically pull the plug from the wall? (asking because i googled my problem and have read some people actually did the later)

Just a report, IT WORKED! finally on 2.2E now. Basically I turned the console off (note it can be done during update, just hold down the power) and I pulled the plug after that to make sure . Second time around, worked like a charm! fast too (15 minutes?)

I was reading another forum, and they said that the wii only performs the update after downloading the entire file, their example was how you stop downloads on IE or firefox and nothing happens, you just don't get the file. Glad the Wii's like that

They must of been the longest fifteen minutes of your life! Oh, you silly man. I can just imagine you sitting there staring at the TV going "come on...come on!" hehehe.

Glad it worked for you Renesis-C, I'm surprised cutting the power in the midst of an update didn't stuff something up, that's good to know.
