The game cube versions of Pokemon sucked! You couldnt play two players unless somebody had a DS.

Why does Nintendo keep forcing a DS on me?

I dont want one. I dont want to stare at a small screen all day playing games that lack the processing power of a latest generation console.

Pokemon stadium was good because you didnt need a gameboy, you could just use the rent pokemon.

I suspect you mean GBA, not DS, since DS had no compatibility with Cube.

Also, there was 2 player mode in Pokemon XD (without a GBA) but it was very limited.

the thing i hate most about the games and the show:
1. with the technology now cant the games be similar to the show with the battle style rather than be turn based

2. Ash should be able to kick any body's ass by now, his pikachu should be at like level 1000, yet he still loses to losers who are just starting out on their journey.

3. I didnt see whether he won the Hoenn league or not or even the battle frontier, but if he didn't will he ever win at anything, is he ever gonna make it to the elite four, i mean damn, he should be real f***ing close to being a pokéman master

4. why can't the pokemon games these days have the same pokemon voices from the tv show. They've had the same lame voices since red and blue. Even on the big consoles, battle revolution is new generation, why keep the same dumb lame voice overs. Let Charmander say his name for christ sake instead of that stupid growl they make him do

Ok, this game is pretty awesome. Buy all it is is battleing, so don't buy the guide unless you feel that you really need it. And if you don't have a DS and a copy of Pokemon D/P don't get this game. Having a DS and D/P is a big part of the game. With your DS, you can copy pokes from D/P onto Revolution to battle with. BTW, most hacked pokes won't work-they just show up as bad eggs. But somehow, my shiny Latias with Wondergaurd ability showed up and I can battle with it.

I'll be picking the game up on tuesday from EB Games (price matching with Big W) and giving it a spin, that way if i dont like it, i can return it within 7 days. The main drawcard for me is using my DS as a controller and using my Pokemon from Pearl game.
From what i've heard unless you have the DS game, its not really worth getting

Hey - I'm 30 and I love Pokemon... any game where you can earn XP is awesome... And Japanese games are so quirky and weird (absolutely no offence intended, quite the opposite)

why dont ppl on this website not respect the opinions of others?? sure there are some of us, myself included who DO still enjoy playing the pokemon games, and i know of ppl who are adults that play pokemon. there is nothin wrong with that at all, and people who think that people who like pokemon still after all these years is immature and need to grow up, well maybe they should be the ones who need to look at their lives and realise that everyone is allowed to have an opinion of something, and that just because there are people who still do enjoy playing the Pokemon RPG games, it doesnt mean that we need to grow up, but it shows that we still respect the games that were and still are a big hit for nintendo
