I thought that was great to hear from the head of HJ.

Burger King originated in America , when they wanted to establish the chain in Australia they werent originally allowed to use the name Burger King as there was a burger shop in Australia already registered as Burger King so they kept the burger symbol & just changed the name to Hungry Jacks in the middle. Years went by & the Burger King name became available for use so they started opening new stores under the banner of Burger King but then renamed them all back to Hungry Jacks as the Hungry Jacks name had already become well established in Australia.

Australia I believe is the only country where Burger King is called Hungry Jacks, all other countries have Burger Kings.

Hungrey Jack's (Burger King in America): 23 = A fast food place.

Subway: 6 = Healtier food.

Maccers: 10 = Another fast food place but 5 times worse.

KFC: 4 = and a semi-fast food place. it is the healthier of Maccers and BK.

Sri Lankan place down the road: 1 = i don't know what it is. rerunwii can tell you.

I used to like Subway until a mate pointed out how much it stinks inside Subway restaurants, and I laughed at him, but now I know he's right and I can't bear to go inside... The mix of dodgy ready to reheat meats, and cooking bread just about makes me sick Get better bread rolls from a bakery anyhow...

Years ago when Burger King wanted to expand to Australia, somebody already registered the "Burger King" name, so they had to pick a different name, Hungry Jacks. After the Burger King trademark had expired, BK wanted to change all HJ names to BK. But the owner of HJ refused. So now, we have both BK and HJ operating side by side.

I love getting the white bread, chicken strips, with the lot and sweetchilli sauce. Thankfully the bread I got they didn't gut it out!

Oh no no no, I mean that when they make the decorative cuts on top of their tinned doughs before baking, they often make them very deep.

If you make the cut too deep, when you cut the bread it is more likely to fall apart.

It especially sucks on a breadstick you're cutting into slices, because it looks like half the slice is gone.
