Hi guys recently got my wii chipped and now i cant seem to connect to the internet. Its keeps saying error code: 52242. Ive tried re-installing the wi-fi software but still seem to work, ive also tried changin the usb slot the adaptor goes into. This has happened before, before i got the chip but all i had to do was re-install the software and it worked fine. Can someone please help me please

I also found that 52242 is the zip code for Iowa, how bout that!

edit: I know the error code is different, this help page covers like 20 different codes (they all relate to the same problem).

I've said this on another forum lol People keep blaming and thinking its because its being chipped but thats far from the truth.

COuple of things cud be wrong:

1)Firewall is blocking connection
2)Ur modem needs to be rebooted (unplug and replug see if that fixes problems)
3) Something cud be interfiring with wireless connection between ur wii or modem example cordless phone, wall, ect.
4) Check ur wii net connection settings, cud be u didnt put the right password that you have for ur wireless modem correct (it has happened )
or
5)Ur net connection is just GAY lol cud be the main reason..

Do u connect to the net via ur comp ok??? or keeps cutting off does it happen all the time or just sometimes to ur wii??

just first of all turn off ur wii and unplug all of its cables.

Leave it for a little while say 2-3 mins.

Then plug everything in.

Then next go into where you had to input all ur connection settings on ur wii (i think its under internet if i can remember correct)

Then it will either ask u if u want to delete or just delete all of it completely, before you do this though make sure you write down all ur details just in case u can't remember them later.

Then put in the connection details into your wii (all the details that you put the first time you set ur wii to connect to your wireless modem)

And then try to test the connection

This shud fix it because you have reset everything including the settings.
