Ive been noticing an issue with my new Wii (only 3 weeks old), where it will momentarily freeze whilst I am playing Wii Sports boxing. It happens about 2-3 times each fight!

Anyone else experienced such an issue? I don't recall it happening the first few times I played it, but it seems to be getting progressively more noticable.

Is this normal? Should I get a new one? Memory issue perhaps? Ive checked my connections, checked my Discs and there are no scratches, turned console power off and on and tested again. Any feedback would be very much appreciated!

Ohh has anyone ever had their wiimote batteries die after only 2-3 weeks use. I have only played for maybe 12 hours max.

The freezing I am experiencing relates to the screen. It pauses the game for second. Weirddd. Thanks for the help ZOIDBERG. I might call Nintendo. More wondering if anyone else had experienced this, and whether it might just be normal.

Do you mean the screen actually freezes, like digital TV does with bad reception? If so you're definitely going to want to call Nintendo, it may just be a problem with the disc considering it only happens with one game.

If, on the other hand, you are talking about how it goes in slow motion every now and then, this is completely normal and can actually help you win the fight! It does this if you dodge side to side a few times, everything slows down and you get a chance to get some good punches in.

12 hours battery life is unfortunelty about average with a crappy pair of batteries. I have learned to buy the better ones, you will save money in the long run. It's definitely worth investing in some rechargables, but be careful, older ones can leak which will kill your wiimotes. My advice? Get yourself a Joytech Power Station, $35 from dstore, best accessory I've purchased. There's a review here if you'd like to know specifics. www.mywii.com.au/

Omi...very nice indeed, great review too..I will definitely be picking myself up the docking station. A question for you though, do you have to take the silicon covers off to recharge in the station?

zoidberg & Others, I will get on the dog & bone to Nintendo and let you know what they have to say. Cmpa1970 - The disc appears fine (brand new, used maybe 3 times), still could be a disc read fault of some description (i'm not nerdular enough to know the difference ) My concern is my wii has one of those infrequent annoying faults that are hard to isolate and difficult to prove for warranty purposes (story of my life).

MattyD in regards to the docking station - with all docking stations the silicon skins need to be removed to work, I just roll mine up half way and charge. It only needs charging every now and then
