The lights on there while he plays why not it on in the house while the console is turned on instead of that 0.500 of a second of the light when you turn the Wii on?

nintendo have said that there is no need to release the other coloured wii's at the moment because they are still being sold like crazy so there is no need. but they have also said they should be released by next christmas

Nintendo did not provide different colours at launch because it is easier to manufacture only one build. When demand for Wii levels out, colours will be made available.

Also, the blue LED wasn't even supposed to be there at all. They only put it in for E3, but decided to leave it after receiving good feedback for it. The LED does not stay on because Nintendo wanted to make a console as energy-efficient as possible so that people would have no problem leaving it on for WiiConnect24.

And yes, blue LEDs do degrade faster than others due to the "higher energy wavelengths" they operate in. At full load most single-colour RGB LEDs last around 6 thousand hours, but I doubt the Wii gives it that much power.

I don't think colours really matter. I wouldnt sell the Wii I have to go out and get a coloured one, I think the white is lovely. We dont need all these colours.
