Well not really - they all have various demographics they are trying to capture or attain. The nintendo market has been predominantly the younger market. But the Wii console has changed all that with the new concept in gaming.

Sony is trying to capture the home market... their main aim is to get the PS3 to replace all the devices in your lounge room - whether they have been successful is yet to be seen. But Harvey norman do tout them as a media machine than a games console.

Xbox falls under microsoft... and they believe that if we build it bigger, faster and super (add whatever else you can imagine) we will win. Or maybe they want a lsice of the lucrative gaming market. But the bigger faster mentailty won't work. *cough* repair bills *cough* Oh and my biggest point - Microsoft. Nuff said. lol They want to monopolise everything to force people to buy their product... good idea, but they need to ensure they serve some purpose.

So no, when someone tells me Ninty is for Kids... or when I used to say it, I was uninformed... and that's all that it is... people that are oblivious to the Companies marketing strategy.

And before you ask... "hey what would you know"

I am a Sony Fanboy.

Because the Wii can't play Unreal Tournament or Company of Heroes or Oblivion. And has zero chance of running Bioshock, Fallout 3, Assassin's Creed or Alan Wake.
