I'm no good with reviews, but here goes.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a great addition to the Mario franchise. Now that I think about it, there was never a standard Mario side-scrolling game that allowed more than 1 player on the screen (correct me if I'm wrong).
The game's difficulty isn't so hard, but it's not terribly easy either. From what I've played (currently up to 7-2), the bosses aren't much of a challenge. All the levels were designed almost perfectly, nice and colourful and are played smoothly.
The controls are simple and sweet (I've only ever played with Wiimote on the side, by the way), it doesn't abuse the use of motion sensing, all you ever do is shake, and the rest is button pressing. And unlike NSMB DS, you can "Quick Save" any time on the map (although it has its limits), as opposed to always having to beat a castle, or beating the game to save anywhere.
The new power-ups are nice, though the Penguin power-up just renders the Ice Flower power-up useless because Penguin has the same thing as Ice Flower, just with the addition of sliding.
Co-op is what makes this game absolutely terrific. I've only ever played 2-3 players though. Whether you help each other go through levels, or try to ruin each other, just playing with others can make the game much more enjoyable.
NSMBW is a great game, you'll want to play it at least twice, once being all by yourself, and once with others.
