SNES Backup Unit - Locked - Locked

Hey Guys
Has anyone got one of these SNES Backup units? I had one many moons ago when I was a little fella for my SNES and it was great. Use to go backup snes games to floppy, some took 4 floppy's haha but it was great.

I sold it ages ago but was wondering if they work in other ways, rather then getting the original cartridge and copying it to a floppy, could you just download the SNES game rom and copy to a floppy and run it?

(I cant see this being against the rules since its soo old)

I guess? I assumed you would use an emulator to play em. I haven't actually heard of a SNES Backup Unit. :/
