Is anyone getting pee'd about the wii shop games

Just wanted to know if anyone else is getting pee'd off with the not so great games to download from the wii shopping channel...

week after week there are lame wiiware games that just doesnt grab you and say hey im so getting this, they are no different to VC games from other consoles, what the hell is Nintendo doing, or since the wii is selling like hot cakes they dont care they release crap...

the new Driller game i mean come on.... and its only single player, what the hell..... 99% of xbox360 games can be played online and 1% of wii games are online, online play is the way to go these days is it so hard for them to understand that...

is anyone else annoyed also with the lack of online playable games for the wii..

i want to know your answers...

i still blame nintendo for not pushing for more online games or telling other developers what they need to add to their games etc.....

i have 46 xbox360 games and only 1 of them is not online the other 45 are....

Frankly, Nintendo have almost zero say in what developers put into their games.

The Shop Channel is a different story, but c'mon... It's full of awesome stuff! More n64 stuff and it's just about set!

yeah but wouldnt you like to have that added option of online play even for N64 games, why cant they add online play for them, it cant be that hard.. for example i have Mario Kart N64 rom, and that can be played with 4 players online so why couldnt they do it with them now, i know online rom games were not setup by nintendo but hey someone got it to work just fine, thats why i have never purchased or will ever purchase VC games.....because i used to own these before so why buy them again and with no extra stuff, it really shows they want to stop illegal roms getting around and buy the games from their wii shop channel

Yay! Make sure you visit our Quote a Build/Update thread to get a system custom made to your budget if you don't know what you're doing because you will get maximum bang for buck buying premade systems costs way way too much!

If you wanna pirate because you don't want to play Nintendo's (among other companies) for what they were, that's your choice. But the Shop Channel is there to cater for Retro core gamers who want to visit titles they may not have been able to before.

In my opinion, they've done a brilliant job at this but for the n64, which is out of control due to many of the great titles being Rare titles.. Who happen to have gone to Microsoft.

I would probably agree with your online gaming gripe had Telstra not decided to place me on a stupid arsed pair gain line where I can't get an internet line faster than that of a 3rd world country.

However, VC games I now own are all the ones I had growing up and love to death.

Except that is for the raped version of Double Dragon....I mean c'mon...no multi-player? wtf?

As to the flowchart above....I have a Wii and I PS3....how does that wrk?

The only Wiiware game I play online is Onslaught. The VC is all about old school vertical shoot-em-ups for me (and some great old platformers)
I not all that fussed with Online tbh, I'd rather play a really good single player and then enjoy some split screen action with friends. IMHO Its more fun when you can see their reaction and much less fun when its just some random spud on the internet. But I'm old so what the hell would I know anyway

^^ Mark speaks in behalf of many gamers like myself. I don't want updated online play for my favourite VC games. Too many of my online gaming experiences are ruined by h4x0rz and general interweb n00bs.

I buy lots of VC games for the purposes of library consollidation. Yeah, I've purchased them before but paying a few bucks for a digital copy doesn't bother me.

I want to play them as they were released at the time. If I want to play updated classics, I'll grab them on XBLA or the PSN.

These two old guys speak the truth! I'm happy with single player and if someone comes over, hey! Grab a second controller and let's get playing! My cousin got Halo 3 and instead of playing it online, I go to his house and play it WITH him. It's much more humorous when I die in the midst of a battle and he curses me out for having to find a safe spot so I can respawn. lawl! I'm happy with pretty much with the whole VC and WiiWare thing.

I'd much prefer online. At least it's something different and if I was to play a VC game now I'd feel empty. Like, why did I bother, I've done this before? Like Track And Field on the 360 was fun for all the reasons of achievements, online play, high scores etc. It gave an old game new meaning.

To be honest I actually prefer single player on my Wii, it actually takes a while to set it up so that it connects to my wireless.

The majority of Wiiware has always been crap, but that means the ones that are actually good get heaps of appraisal.

Having online doesn't mean you have to use it. I can still play Track & Field, Double Dragon, Turtles Arcade, Heavy Weapon, UNO etc on the 360 without going online, but if I feel like it I can go online. I was also never a fan of online play until I played XBox Live Arcade. I am not one for playing Gears Of War, COD etc online however don't mind a game of FIFA or RE5 with a friend online. I mainly just like the simple ones that I can have a quick go of online and many of the Nintendo classics would be greatly suited. I find it extremely boring playing any of the VC games now.

I can see some people like to play over Mario again, or whatever they may choose from the VC, but for me personally I'd rather mow the lawn.

The least Nintendo could do is perhaps make an online scoreboard or something. Or something similar to acheivements so you can set other goals for yourself.

Depends what kind of lawns

Seriously, no I do not enjoy mowing lawns (especially considering I'm at risk of hayfever), I do not like playing old VC games with no enhanced GFX or online play either.

That's another option (switch between retro and new) with some of the XBLA games is they have slightly enhanced GFX. VC games are just the same old crap (yes I went there) you use to play 15 years or more ago.
