Hey Melbourne Wii-ers!

We’re normally an internet/LAN centre, but we happen to have a Wii, an embarrassingly huge TV, a media room and plenty of beanbags. So we really want to start a type of Wii club, where you would come in weekly and compete/play, win prizes, eat snacks and hang out with your friends and other Melbournian Wii players.

Do you guys reckon you would be keen for something like this?
Which games would be most fun or competitive to play?

We’ll let you know as soon as we get up & running…

Cheers,
Neda from 1frog.

Hawthorn isn't to far from me, might drop in if I ever find some spare time as long as you let my slap a MyWii sticker on that big ass TV
Mario Kart and Brawl would be the way to go for Wii games those two games still have a strong following.

Hawthorn? Seems pretty far for me. Far as in >30 minute tram ride.

We could make a day of this if we all turned up on the same day. Free food is a crowd bringer *hint hint*

MyWii makes Melbourne seem so much better than stupid Brisbane. Nothing fun ever happens here. Damn it QLD! *shakes fist*

Cheers for the responses.

We've definitely already got the Mario Kart, Brawl & the free food sorted. As well as Mario Party, Wii Sports, Resident Evil, Super Monkey Ball, House of the Dead 2&3, ...are we in the right ballpark here?

Guyver Haha, I'd have to check with the boss about the sticker being specifically on the TV, but we're certainly happy to have some Mywii paraphernalia about the place. We reckon we'll be doing Wii stuff longterm.

Neda / 1frog.

PS soz Brisbane.

Sounds like you have the crowd favorites there, how many people are interested in turning up on a specific day?

Resident evil on an internet/LAN center? how does that work? i suppose you rent the offline games to the crowd?

Yeah sorry, painter_jr, you're right there. Resident Evil was a bad example. I forgot that it was single player (haven't played it myself). The Wii stuff is separate to the internet/LAN centre stuff though.

Guyver, we're more thinking of having month-long "mini-seasons", where you'd register for the games you want to play & then come in once a week for three weeks & then in the fourth week there's a finals day or something like that. There'd be a few people per round.

Once we register some interest we'll definitely be keen to organise one-off day-long tournaments here & there with heaps more people.

thats ok 1frog, i thought you have a renting service for offline games, where you allow public to play those wii games on your place. If that kind of service is available, I would like to play some offline games in your shop There are some games that I would rather rent than buy.

Looks like the only option is to turn up and trash his place.

Cory Worthington style.

"A bunch of young people, mostly in their mid teens and early twenties, has created a scene at a popular gaming hangout in Hawthorn.....Early evidence shows a bunch of MyWii stickers mysteriously left at the crime scene stickered on various computers and gaming consoles. According to eyewitnesses, the evidence suggests the gang leader is a tall musculine 20ish guy who goes by the nickname of Guyver...who is well known among various gaming circles and forum boards...."
