Anyways, After round one, it looks like Arsenal will be a force to be reckoned with this season. Man Utd and Chelsea narrowly defeated weak teams, Liverpool lost to an alright team and Arsenal destroyed one of the better teams. Maybe this will be our year.

Wasn't that great. Hernandes' 2 goals and Tiatto's goal were much better IMO.

I barely get to watch the A-League. =[ I think it's doing pretty well against other codes. I actually watched a game when Dwight York played for Sydney. Pretty entertaining!

YES! I cannot see why everyone loves Thompson.
Sure, I'll love him forever for what he did in the 2007 Grand Final, but he is the most frustrating player out there.
The match just gone, for instance, we were attacking (where we eventually scored a goal via Allsopp, AKA the TRUE Melbourne Victory striker) and Thompson thought for whatever reason to just lie down and sulk despite us being in an attacking position.
As for Muscat, well he's my favourite Victory player. His name's on my jersey. Fearless captain with a killer penalty record.

Yeah, you're right. It was one of the best matches I have seen (in my top 5).
I'm relieved that what we paid for Hernandez paid off bigtime (so far...)

I totally agree with your opinions on Allsopp(he's on my jersey) and Thompson, but I think Muscat should've retired at the end of last year. He's too old now, he can't keep up. He's a good player, but he's past his prime.

I'm sick of people looking down on Allsopp when he clearly gives 110% every single match and praise Thompson who's always complaining and carrying on.
As for Muscat retiring, yes his time has come. He is, what, 36 years old now? I think they will keep him for an assistant coaching position, though.

Did support Middlesbrough until they got relegated.
But at this stage it looks like they will be back up next year.
So at the moment, I don't support any team in the EPL.

Back on topic, Wolverhampton gained their first win of season 09/10, defeating Wigan after a header from Keogh in the 5th minute.

And Chelsea defeated Sunderland 3-1, after Darren Bent scored the first for Sunderland in the 18th. Ballack, Lampard and Deco scored for Chelsea.

Exactly. Danny Allsopp has proved himself to be Victory's premier striker, yet still Archie is hailed as king.
