I've been racing pretty crap myself. I don't think I won once when I was racing with Cake, I got 2nd and 3rd plenty of times but not 1st. I make to many stupid mistakes.

Congrats, I only passed through that a couple of weeks ago (then proceeded to go back under and come back earlier this week) I'm at 8100 now (after some stupid finishes in 4th and 7th taking me down from 8242

You can stay up there, once you pass 8000 I found it was easy to stay above it

(long time ago though).
I'm getting sick of racing nicely over the internet, I was racing this Japanese guy, he was a bloody pro and all but he'd fire red shells at me after I had been spiny'd, after I had been powed, he'd back spam like no tomorrow then he'd also throw a green shell back at the line when he finishes 1st. It pisses me off when people do all that. Don't get me wrong, he was a bloody fast good racer and I doubt I could've beaten him even if he didn't back spam but I reckon it would've been much more enjoyable.

Had some more **** races, I think someone was hacking but can't be certain but on bowser castle 64 I got hit by 5 spiny's. The reason I think someone was hacking though is because each time they were in 1st (his name was beto or something) they never got hit by a spiny but I took it back from them 5 times that race and managed to get hit by a spiny each time giving them the lead, I also noticed him shoot a spiny from a bullet bill but that could've just been lag, I don't really know.
On a lighter note though, I still manged to get my 9999 back.
