Zelda was a GameCube game, not a Wii game. It was simply ported over with controls tacked on.

Resident Evil UC wasnt made by Nintendo so why does this and other third party games feature in your rant? How can you blame Nintendo if third party games dont live up to expectation.

I have a Nintendo because the first party games sh1t all over every other game out there. Nobody can make games as good as Nintendo. Ever! They dont understand video games. They just pump out a shallow game with minimal gameplay backed up by gorgeous graphics.

Games that have time and effort with thoughts about the player are few and far between.

There are so many lazy games out there. Thats why there was a 'big gap' between Zelda and the next big game. Because Nintendo can only make so many games and third party games are sh1t.

If Nintendo had the support from third party developers that the other consoles have then there wouldnt be too much of a problem. You would have enough 'ok' games to get you going until the next big title.

Its funny how people get pissed off with the lack of/delays in top notch Nintendo games so they buy another console with no 1st party support and a plethora of dud games. Why not just buy the dud 3rd party wii games?

i have to disagree with this part , for me its the nintendo games that let me down they are no better than the old nintendo games on nes snes and 64 , same old characters and storys .
i found lots of good 3rd party games and both my kids play more 3rd party ones as well

sell the wii. get the ps3. play the games you wanted, and get 10 times more enjoyment out of the ps3 than you would get from playing the wii. then laugh at the people who called you an idiot for selling the wii and buying a ps3.

Wii is getting more and more interesting now that homebrew is a real possibility. If your a geek and not exactly short on cash right now, might as well keep it for the sake of homebrew (you never know what's possible, but don't expect the sky for the low hardware though). The small footprint of the wii + homebrew prob means alot of possibilities (if they can get GPS working and remap wii gestures on a touchscreen, I'd stick it as a carputer!)

The next wii you buy may not support homebrew.

Most games on the PS3 are multi platform so why not get an Xbox 360?

Infact he obviously already has a PC so if there is enough under the bonet he wouldnt need either.

I would say 99%, if not 100% of playstation and xbox games are third party. Some are exclusive due to back room brown nosing but the bulk are multiplatform.

We only dont see the same level of support for the Nintendo primarily because the cost of licensing is higher (I think 25% compared to 5% on other consoles) and occasionally because of the perception the console is for kids.

But I will say it again - no game on any system compares to the titles Nintendo pumps out. Not playstation, xbox, PC or other.

And thats what you miss out on.

Calling me greenblob will not change that one iota.
