Imagine if products were not "Made in China", wow the price would be doubled. Poor workers work all day for a penny a day and we complain here.
My opinion they both excellent, at the end depends on personal taste.

TRUE MAN .... for 400 bux you'd take a look

Im of the belief that the nintendo isnt really the same as an xbox or a ps they kind of do different things..... id certainly own a wii and a 360 or a wii and a ps3....but wouldnt really go 360 and ps3 cause your kind of doubling up

What does the PS3 offer besides incredible graphics? Grand Theft Auto? Not worth $300 bucks (and thats after lowering the price to that of the Wii console and Wii games), and it's not even out yet!
There reaches a point where graphics don't concern me (and I hope most others) as much as the actual experience of playing the system, and that's what the Wii offers.

And if you want to get technical, Wii does broadcast in HD, just not full HD. Whereas the PS3 outputs in 1080p, the Wii outputs in 480p. Sure, it's a step down, but still more than a step up from the Gamecube or the PS2.

P.S. Have something to do when your PS3 explodes after 7 minutes.

hmmmm best stick to your chocolate milk. Blu ray dics hold more than five times the amount of information than dvd's do, if it was just a fad then why have panasonic (nintendo own a stake in Panasonic) Samsung, pioneer, and toshiba just to name a few have all embraced the technology.

My Answer is YES. No1 said you can't own both consoles. At that price PS3 is such a bargain. I'm not a Nintendo fan but I loved my classic NES. Battle City, Mario 1 & 2, Ice Climber and all that, but I have to say that the Wii has really amazed me this time. The games are made for all ages, I'm sure many would agree that playing tennis on the Wii is easier to pick up then playing MGS4 on PS3. But that's not the point both consoles are great and they target different segments of the market, moreover both these consoles each have great games. So my verdict: Get Both! Play Nintendo classics on Wii and MGS4 and Winning Eleven 11 on PS3! That is IF PS3 was the same price as Wii. Go Wii!!!

P.S. Winning Eleven is the best soccer game of all time!

The price is unbeleiveable. Who has an extra 900-1000 bucks for console. That ya add in another controller and a game, ur looking at 1200-1300!!!! For me the console alone goes over the daily limit on my account. I cant see the mass numbers buying this console

I think in terms of gaming it is a nessesity as it will allow larger memory which will provde better games through graphics size of game videos and the all important speach in games. But to play a dvd on blue ray im not sure what the importance is.

Actually nintendo has been getting clobbered in the home console market since the ps1 days, but thats not the point. Nintendo have made some of the greatest video games of all time and i commend them on this, but the competition has been making up ground rapidly. Take away portable console sales and nintendo is in real trouble of becoming a relic of the past. The wii was nintendos chance to turn things around, but it will be difficult seeing as its only a fraction more powerful than the original xbox. I still stick by what I said, personal choice. I didn't really word it very well, more of a "Nintendo always beats Sony in my eyes" If it was the 360 I'd buy it, I just can't stand PlayStation. I can't really comment on the cube, I decided to give it a miss because my dad bought a dreamcast instead. I'm still glad I did because the 64 beat the GC. Not like I had to state that though...
