My god, people.
I didn't vote in this poll due to the stupidity of the question, but I will leave this comment. Asking if the 'internet' is a serious business, it's like asking if 'life' is a serious business. The 'internet' basically IS life... online life. It's the togetherness of the world that you can access from your computer.
Wether it is serious or not depends on the people you are interacting with. I can talk to one person and have serious conversations and conduct serious business, running my website. I can then turn to another person and be greeted to 3rd grade spelling/grammar and 1st grade maturity. The reason the internet seems less serious, or even dangerous, is because the premise is to connect everyone with each other, including all the world's very bad people. Serial killers use the internet. Paedophiles use the internet. Emos use the internet, and even little kids and even older people who act like little kids, use the net.
The question is "Is the internet a serious business?"
The answer is "Depends WHO you interact with, just like real life."
