Heatseeker's publisher, Codemasters, has announced that Heatseekers will arrive on the Nintendo Wii in March, 2007.
The senior producer for Heatseeker, Andrew Wensley says, "If you like fast and furious action, and blowing everything in sight to bits, then Heatseeker is a dream come true. Expect the greatest military aircraft armed to the teeth with the latest hardware, big explosions, great smoke trails, and gung-ho heroics."
Heatseeker will be jointly produced by Codemasters and IR Gurus.
The executive producer of IR Gurus, Ben Palmer claims that "the Heroes air combat engine is being advanced and getting armed to the teeth with the latest military hardware. It’s set in a realistic now-time world, that’s cohesive and believable, but the speed of play will feel like lightening."
A game like Heatseeker will really test out the Wii with (probably) advanced graphics which will test the system. It will also be interesting to see how well the "Wii-mote" hold up with this kind of game as it will undoubtedly test its capabilities as well. Bring on Heatseeker!
