News \ Activision Puts Wii First

Activision has opened a new publishing label dubbed Wee 1st, to increase the number of Wii games the company develops. Through Wee 1st Activision will start developing exclusive titles for the Wii, with the first titles set to arrive shortly.

Then first games to be released under the Wee 1st label include Little League World Series 2008, Rapala Fishing Frenzy and Dancing with the Stars: Get Your Dance On. The range will be supported (at least in the US) through television and print media and will be branded as Wee 1st on the packaging.

Activision's Dave Oxford said "The Wii is introducing new audiences to gaming, Clearly, the Wii's accessible controls are changing how the audience plays games and how we look at game design. This initiative is designed to showcase games that take full advantage of the Wii's capabilities."

This move follows EA releasing their 'All Play' ranges of sports games for the Wii. There is no information on if the new range will see it’s way into other regions or if it will only be sold in the US.
