'Well as a general guess, Lucasarts is tied to Activision/Blizzard/Vivendi/Whatever they're calling themselves now, which are now bigger than EA when the deal was announced. So they have some serious weight when it comes to calling the shots in the industry and maybe didn't like what the ESA was wanting to do. So when Activision/Vivendi pulled from the ESA, they said to Lucasarts 'you gotta follow suit'. LucasArts of course folded for not wanting to get screwed by Activision/Vivendi
