News \ Extreme violence from Sega in a trailer

A new video ( www.gametrailers.com/ ) was released earlier showing an upcoming Wii game from Sega 'Mad world' the video is age gated and at the start shows a warning for extreme violence warning under 18s to not watch the trailer.

The said trailer contains gore, and shows the combat in the game including heart surgery where the protagonist rips out and crushes a heart, A chainsaw which resembles Gears Of War, and a rosebush of spikes which you can throw someone against.

Currently we know nothing about the game, besides that video: When the game does come out classification refusal may be an issue.

UPDATE (17th May '08): Mad World has sky rocketed to Most Wanted lists all over the world on nearly all Wii related Game Sites.

Hmm. I dunno. Wii needs some games geared towards older audiences, on account of the whole "kiddie" image thing, but this looks over-the-top gory just for the sake of it. If it's a shallow as it looks, it should get old within an hour, but I'll reserve judgment until I see more and learn more of it. The trailer left too little to go on.

has a sin city feel to it. i think because its black and white the censors wont be as restrictive on it. its generally when violence is quite realistic that problems occur. look at gears of war. thats brutal as but coz you're killing monstors its ok haha.

from what you can see that game works really well in black and white with the added blood. Sega is probably trying to copy Suda51 in game violence but this game looks really gory plus with the added enjoyment of using items surrounding you to your advantage like stop signs.
