I use the classic controller as it is FAR better than the gamecube controller for SNES games on VC (as it pretty much is a SNES controller in its design). The 'extra grip' would make it a little more comfortable (especially when accessing the analog sticks), and having a dangling Wiimote is a pain, so this accessory would be awesome.

Also, I've heard that when you put it all together, it weighs about as much as a wireless Xbox360 controller.

well you have to plug the controller into the wii-mote and then just leave it to your side and you can play all of the vc games wirelessly. The remote plugs in yo it purely for wireless compadability bu id'e just stick to the gamecube controller
