Wii Software \ Using the wii remote for the sake of it

I dont know whether game designers realise but the wii remote uses batteries. And batteries cost money.

My point is - does paper mario really need the wii remote? Why not give the option of using the classic controller or came cube controllers.

My concern is that every game released will use the wii remote with some trivial feature.

Smash Brothers will give the option of which controller to use. Hopefully other game designers follow.

Just use rechargable. I have since I bought my Wii and nothing has gone wrong so far.

Also, Harlster, he means 'Super Paper Mario', not 'Paper Mario 64'.

I've found that it tend to vary depending on how much I am using the wii-mote and what power source I am using. I currently run my wii-mote on rechargeable batteries, since my digital camera and most of my remotes run off the same AA batteries.

Ahhh, I see. Nintendo are in cahoots with the battery god, their plan behind the Wiimote is to make battery companies money!

Paper Mario needs the Wiimote because it uses it's motion sensing!
If it's corded people complain from annoyance of cords...
If it's wireless, it uses batteries, people complain...

Just buy a charger. I've got a Joytech one and it's great, no problems since I bought it in March.

We don't have external batteries, it's all internal and recharges via a USB cable they give ya. At full charge they last ages.

The only problem I've noticed with recharge stations (or at least a particular brand a friend of mine has) is that you can't sync the Wiimotes with other Wiis (the battery pack has to be in for you to press the red button and you can't get to the red button without the battery pack in

). Probably not a worry for most people, especially with games like SSBB / Strikers having online capabilities, but I like bringing my Wiimotes around for multiplayer mayhem, so the normal rechargable batteries are a happy medium there.

Give me the rumble any day, Sony fanboys say the Wii has last gen graphics, Wii say Sony has a pre-last gen controllers.

Well since I don't play my Wii all the time it's hard for me to tell how much life I get out of my rechargeable batteries, I guess I haven't had a game that has got me hooked enough to sit there and play in for hours on end.
