It's being done in typical Nintendo fashion, focusing on groups of people rather than solitary play where you scream at people about lag and AWP head shots. How so? Via the WiiSpeak mic! Rather than a head set the Mic is designed to sit on top of your sensor bar and allow groups of people to play with other groups of people. So if you feel like totally skooling some guys in Europe at fishing in Animal Crossing and bringing your own ganstar animal posse for back up, now you can!

Connecting gamers via Wiispeaking?But the problem is how far this Gadget can reach?Without headset mic,you can speak in front of this peripherals,and other gamers can hear you at the other sides?Sounds amazing.But how often gamers will use this "Wiispeak"?I think manufacturers should carefully think about this problem.

Looks good and is a great idea.


It should be put to good use with the new Animal Crossing:City Folk game coming out on Wii soon. The thought of visiting each others virtual houses with the option to talk using WiiSpeak is amazing

It comes packaged with Animal Crossing and I think they will sell them separetly(confirm thid though).

SO that uses one of the USB ports, I wonder what would go in the other.

Nintendo always focused a lot on multiplayer fun rather than single player action. WiiSpeak isn't a bad idea-the fact that the Wii now has an online voice system coming makes me ecstatic, but it would be great if Ninrendo or a third party company came up with a headset version of it as well for the more serious games, like MoH or Red Steel

A communication device. It allows Wii owners to have conversations over Wifi. So lets say your in NSW and im in QLD, if we both had Wii Speak, we could talk to each other with the Wii!

Pretty cool idea, I just need it now.

i own this...although i have no friends on Animal crossing... sad really haha ill be adding some friend codes..later but for now, even the wii speak channel seems to be a genius idea brought up by nintendo! i will give them kudos!
