Looks like the main issue here is that you don't seem to real be warming to the Nintendo titles. I found that Nintendo games like Super Mario were alright for me when I was younger and proudly owned a see through-blue N64 but I grew up, things changed, and now Nintendo consoles just don't offer the titles that appeal to me and what types of games I like to play now (not that I play games that often these days now anyway).
The reason I am turned off to fanboy arguments and wars is I try to see the things from both sides. If you like the Nintendo games then buy a Wii. If you prefer for exclusive titles for Xbox or Play Station then buy one of them. There's no real point in debating over it because it's all matter of opinion in the end.
