The reason I ask is that I discovered that F-Zero X didn't play the same as the original Nintendo 64 version. There were all these sound glitches and graphical glitches. It had really put me off playing it, just because it didn't feel the same as the original version.

Lol yes I love Zelda. I own the original 2 NES cartridges (in their golden glory) and the SNES, played the original gameboy titles but missed out on the 64 games

So can anyone confirm if there are glitches in this game like what Phatbass is describing with F-Zero X

To the main question, only one person, Zoidberg, has managed to answer the question of this discussion. Someone else here must own the VC version and have played the N64 version and can tell us if it's identical or are there any problems!

From what I played (before I had to give back my mate's GC controller) there were no glitches or sound failures whatsoever. And I made it to the Dodongo Cavern so that's about 1/5 into the game. Graphically, the game remains the same as the N64 version. Afterall, it's just a ROM of the game.

The only function that fails with OoT is the rumble for those stones. Those who recall the original, if you had a rumble pack attatched to your N64 controller it would rumble whenever there was a mystery hole in the ground. The VC version doesn't allow for this feature which kind of sucks and makes it harder to collect all the Gold Skultalas.

Nice. Thanks Elaro. Perfect. I totally forgot about rumble features. I just got sick of plugging in the memory card and then switching to the rumble pak.

I knew it would've been a ROM. It's funny though, how long it takes for them to release it. I suppose they double check to make sure the game runs smoothly on the Wii, especially N64 ones.

As I said, you need it to uncover holes which hide Gold Skultalas. So I'd say it would have been a bit of an issue. But it's nothing a walkthrough won't fix.

Oh yeah. It's not easy putting up huge games like Zelda or Mario 64 onto an online service, let alone altering them to work on a completely different console.
