Nintendo may have done PAL gamers a favour when they announced the Wii would be available this year in Europe and Australia, but when it comes to the Virtual Console titles it seems we'll still be playing titles with borders, meanwhile they'll also be slower than the NTSC counterparts.
That is according to Pro-G, who are reporting that they tested Sonic the Hedgehog on the Virtual Console and it featured borders and ran slower than the American version, Nintendo obviously weren't kidding when they said the games would play exactly how they used too.
This is a little bit disappointing for PAL gamers, who have been treated better in recent times after having to endure 50Hz titles for far too long. It doesn't seem like the situation is going to change either, so when you come home tonight with your brand new console, be warned that you'll be playing Virtual Console titles with borders.
