It's all in the manual. A wii includes gamecube hardware, so to play gamecube games, it requires gamecube hardware

Big W have them for 20 bucks , released by Playmax, it is a white controller so it matches the wii

There are two minor issues with the Wavebird
1. no vibration
2. very light weight fells a bit cheap!
other than that they are the best wireless controller and the battery life is fantastic..

The Garden City store was selling some Wii & GC accessories for 1/2 price yesterday.
I picked up two Powerwave Wii + Gamecube "Retro Classic" controllers for $30.00 and a pack of two Wii-mote skins for $10.00.

Final comment to RerunWii - saying something sucks without support for the argument is gainsaying, and therefore not very helpful.
People who are not yet GC, Wii, or Nintendo savvy rely on experienced Ninty-gamers to guide them with considered comment.
Fortunately, a couple of thinkers (djwill07,kojiro) took the "Wavebird sucks" comment and actually provided some info
