They're called tri-wing screws. You will therefore need a tri-wing screwdriver. They're about $5 from eBay, not counting shipping.

Tri-wing screws that are on the surface of an object can be removed without the screwdriver, though. I removed the screw from a GBA cart by jamming a flathead screwdriver into one of the wings and pushing.

More interesting is that sometimes Nintendo use star screws (they have them on NES and SNES cartridges). Some guy made a star screwdriver himself by super-gluing small copper rods inside a tube.

I would have just popped down to the hardware store and bought a set.

Eight, all of them holding the casing together.

Don't destroy the screws. Some noob on some site didn't have a tri-wing screwdriver, and thought it would be a great idea to pry the Wii open. Bricked the thing.
