Edit: Aww, I just realised that the channel actually contains no videos. That's probably why it downloads so fast. Watch when she clicks the buttons to watch a video - see the "buffering" appear in the bottom-left corner? The videos are streaming live from the internet.

Nevertheless, it's a great preview.

Actually, I think it's more because of the server in US is fast. The Wii only has a 802.11b adapter so in theory all our speeds are capped at 11Mbps max (theoretically). But even though my internet speed exceeds that (I've got ADSL2+ with TPG) the Wii still seems heaps slow when it's accessing the Shop Channel.
