I emailed Atuls and this was thier reply:

Atlus USA and Atlus Japan are not allowed to publish games in Australia because that is outside our regions of distribution. A European distributor must buy the rights to sell the game in your country (as was the case with Nintendo of Europe with the original DS version of Trauma Center). We are in discussion with European publishers in an attempt to get the game sold to your region, but sadly we were not able to finalize things in time for the launch date in Austraila. Hopefully this clears up some things for you.

So its still possible but nothing has been finalized in time for the launch. Theres still hope!

How about THQ? they might be worth e-mailing! or Ubisoft even? try sending these publishers a mail, if you need backup I'm sure we'll all help! Personaly I think it sucks that Australia should miss out on great original titles!!

well as it is we are missing out on heaps of games...and i cannot see one reason why we should..and this is great game i dont know why companies are hesitating to buy the rights, as if they'll lose money...that game the Atlus ever released here in AUS was snowboarding kids for the N64..and that was AGES ago..

anyway about THQ and Ubisoft..which is more likely to listen to what I have to say?

edit: and what do i say? lol

What is the premis of this game? DO you actually perform operations and the like?

yeah you do the whole operation and theres still a storyline intact, its not like set the difficulty and off you go for 3 minutes on a pointless operation. It got an 8.0/10 and zelda got an 8.8/10 each from gamespot so it must be worth playing.

Ah, Cheers Mereshell.

I wonder if you can specialise, like be a gyno or an orthpedic surgeon. Maybe just be a GP and listen to old people complaining about their rhumatism.

I would say THQ are more likely to listen because they have studios based in Australia so are probably more likely to listen to what Australian people want! I think it's probably best to send them a letter or email explaining the dilema and mentioned you've contacted Atuls and quote what they have said. The only thing I would think that would help to pursaude THQ would be to also send them a signed petition of everybody (or as many people as you can)who'd like to see the game in Australia and with THQ's help they could make it possible. I guess just think of suggesting ways on how it could help THQ in australia too, cause they will just look at it in terms of cold hearted business and how it will improve their profits!

But keep trying, you'll never know what might happen!

cool! I don't think you'll get in trouble as long as your emails are friendly! I'd wait a little while for a response if you've heard nothing after a week try again. I'd be interested to know if you do get a response. In the meantime I guess try some other publishers! I'll try and find more too!

No you shouldn't get in trouble, I'd imagine that they would get heaps of mail like that all the time. Good luck with it.

Maybe Atlus should try a little harder to if they want to succeed in getting global appeal!! Cause if they just sit there waiting for the deals to come to them, they aint gonna get no where! Let's just hope the're putting in some effort as well!

No problem, FIGHT THE POWER, bring truma centre, here

This may sound stupid, but why not contact NINTENDO EU or NINTENDO AU and see if they are willing to pick it up. Use a sob story, about ya wont get the wii without it. Or atleast they might point ya in the right direction
