You know ya wanna help your ol' pal twisty!!

Just like everyone else, I having trouble setting up the Net on my Wii.

Got it happening with my USB WiFi jigga, PC asked for permission, Wii downloaded a buttload of upadates....

.... proceeded to burn my kid's dinner - IT'S PIZZA TONITE KIDS - ...........

went to connect to weather channel, it asked for internet connection, went thru all the stuff to the test connection, my PC say yep I'm connected, connection signal is full, then drops out. Gives me code 52140, which means jack to me, even after I looked it up on the net.

Why would I be able to coinnect, update itself then never be able to connect again?

Could it be my Anti-Virus?

i sometimes get errors when connecting to WiiConnect24, it's normal. I just try again, or wait a few minutes. It always works afterwards. I get the connect error at least twice a week on a regular basis.

1)Clear your internet connection settings on the Wii
2)restart it,
3) then set up the connection again.

To see the services that are on your computer go to Start|Run and enter "services.msc". Without the "" .... in there you will see what services are running...my guess is you might have a few still running even tho, you have killed the application??

i too use the nintendo usb adapter. you have to turn off ALL firewalls! i`ve just updated my norten`s with the new '07 edition. it has it`s own built in, not just in "control panel". upload forecast & news updates, then you know you`re back on. then switch all your firewalls back on. i kept dropping out daily, so moved my computer to another room 6mtrs closer for a stronger signal. had to pay to extend internet cable. remember the more electrical equipment, not just appliences between your wii & the usb, then the more likelyhood of interference...
