i mean, Metroid games absolutly rock, and the storyline i think is pretty awsome. and who is a better hero than our very own Samus Aran.

So i pose the question...why dont we have a Metroid Movie?

is there somthing wrong with directors? i would jump at the oportunity to make a movie.

and why would play the drop dead georgeous Samus?

i think possibly jessica alba cuz she looks bad ass and shes hot as a blonde, or maybe someone a little fairer.

Anyway who has thoughts on the matter?

I have heard several rumours about the production of a Metroid film. However I often find rumours that either say it isn't happening or the idea in question was just left untouched. But I must say I have always wished for a Metroid movie. I wouldn't think it'd suck like other game movies such as DOA. It'd be rather interesting to see how well they could recreate characters such as Kraid and Ridley. Well, we can dream right?

the only problem with video game movies not all but most is that your often alone and doing things yourself. in a movie that doesn't work well when you have your hero talking to himself. so until they can somehow get that formula right then the movie won't be as good as the game.

with the halo movie i think a lot of cg went into it and caused the costs to rise a lot.

I know what your saying. I think most story setting points in the Metroid film will take place in things such as flash backs and interior monolog. Ultimately it should show the transition between Samus' childhood and when she was rescued by the Chozo after Ridley caused havoc on Samus' home planet. The film really doesn't need much constant speech like other films. The genre is far different to other game films.

However as I mentioned, key points of dialogue would take place through story setting and such.

It would be alright depending on how much Metroid developers get to work with script writers/directors ect ect.
